A hearty and comforting slow-cooked beef and green bean soup enriched with savory seasoned meat, canned soups, and optional jalapeños for a touch of heat.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat the slow cooker on HIGH and pre-thaw the seasoned meat package if necessary.
  2. Place the seasoned meat into the slow cooker on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours with 1 to 2 cups of water to produce vapors, or 3 to 4 hours if you prefer the meat to be more pull-apart.
  3. Cut the semi-cooked meat down into thirds or fourth sections while keeping the inside still pink and not fully cooked.
  4. Add the cans of soup and green beans into the slow cooker.
  5. Dice and cut the jalapeños if using, then add them into the slow cooker.
  6. Cook on HIGH for another 3 hours or so, tasting with a spoon midway to verify flavor and adjust spices or water as needed.
  7. Shred or pull apart the meat within the slow cooker to ensure it is fully cooked and to release additional flavors.
  8. Turn off the slow cooker, set the lid partially ajar to let hot air vent, and let sit for 30 minutes to cool before serving.
